Not keeping up OC

Grandma has fallen way behind on this project hasn't she? Well, not really. I've worked hard at keeping the scrapbook updated that you gave me when you were born. I've worked hard at making sure we are a very big part of your life.

Do you have any idea what a difference you have made in my life? I had no idea when I found out I was going to be a Grandma, how much my life would change. I had no idea that I would NEED to hear you in the back ground while I was on the phone with your Mommy.

I had no idea how much your Mom and Dad would allow Grandpa and I to be involved in your life. I had no idea how much we would NEED to be involved in your life.

Your Daddy is so special. I remember when it was almost time for you to be able to eat baby food. Your Daddy brought a jar and a spoon to me because I was at your house, and I wouldn't be the next week. He said, "Well Grandma, you should give her a little, it's just a week early."

Your Mommy and Daddy have worked so hard to make sure that we got to see you every month for an extended visit. They have worked so hard to make sure we were there for the firsts in your life. You need to know how special your Mom and Dad are.

I had no idea how much I would love watching you play in the lake or play with the other children.

OC, I had no idea how important you would become. I had no idea how deep the love in my heart for you would run.

Grandma will work harder at keeping this blog updated. You may have to kick her in the butt once in awhile to remind her to do this.... but I promise you... the Scrapbook is UPDATED.. with all the firsts and special moments.

It has you in the lake. It has you on the dock. It has you riding all the rides at the park. It's all there my little love, it's just not all here.

So, here we go.. Your Auntie Chris is about to find out how much joy and Grandchild will bring, so we need to keep on top of this so she doesn't out do us..You ,, my dear baby.. can now help me.

Grandma has made you an author.... so when Grandma comes to visit... we will add your side to this blog....(of course my dear, it will be Grandma's take on your side cause you can't type yet)

I love you very much....

Where do Grandma's come from!

Once upon a time in a land far away, OC came into the world. She arrived wrinkled and crinkled and screaming at the top of her lungs. She arrived to find waiting, her Grandma.

Oh, her Grandma swarmed over her fusing and carrying on. Once Grandma knew that OC and her Mommy were fine and home, she returned to her home far away.

Every week, OC's Mommy would call Grandma and let her talk to OC. OC was so amused that Grandma was a phone. Who else but OC could have a phone for a Grandma? She would kiss and hug and slobber on the phone. She loved her Grandma Phone so much.

Then one day while OC was visiting those people on the farm far away, the old blond one spoke. OC's head swung around to see why this blond one sounded like Grandma. Just like that, OC had a real Grandma.

She hugged and kissed and slobbered on her Grandma. All the time, Grandma was hugging and kissing her back.

As she got older, OC asked her Mommy where Grandma's come from. Her Mommy said, "Why, they come from phones Princess."

First, they are little Granddaughter's that talk to their Grandma's on the phone. Then as they get older, they are Mommy's, who talk to their daughter's on the phone. If they are really good at these two things, they get to be Grandma's. Grandma's who will always talk to you on the phone. Anytime,, day or night good Grandma's are just a phone call away..

With this, OC smiled and asked for a cell phone..

Her Mommy said, "No Princess, you are too young to have your own phone."

So, she asked Grandma. Grandma said, "Now OC, Your Mommy said you were to young for your own cell phone. Good Grandma's don't go against what Mommy says.."

Missing the Ogre Child!

Hi OC,

Grandma is so down in the dumps. The weather has been so crappy and cold and wet. It makes me realize that this next trip to see you will pry be our last until spring.

I always had such a hard time with your Mommy living so far away, but now with both of you that far away, it's sort of freaking me out..

I'm bringing the video camera with me, to leave,so your Mom and Dad can make me videos to watch of you growing up through the winter. Please make sure they do it....

I don't know if I am going to be able to handle this or not. I don't want you and your Mom and Dad out on crappy roads to get here through the winter,, and I won't be able to leave, so I guess we will just have to do the best we can.

You make sure Mommy keeps the phone charged so you can call and talk to me....and make sure she videos you,, and make sure she posts pictures...and tell Daddy to work lots of hours so he has lots of money to bring you back here next spring...

I'll see you in a couple weeks... I love you bunches and when you grow up and have kids,,,please make sure you move 6.5 hours away from your Mom so she understands what I just posted.. he he he...

Love you and your mommy bunches..... Grandma the "Crazy old Woman"
