Missing the Ogre Child!

Hi OC,

Grandma is so down in the dumps. The weather has been so crappy and cold and wet. It makes me realize that this next trip to see you will pry be our last until spring.

I always had such a hard time with your Mommy living so far away, but now with both of you that far away, it's sort of freaking me out..

I'm bringing the video camera with me, to leave,so your Mom and Dad can make me videos to watch of you growing up through the winter. Please make sure they do it....

I don't know if I am going to be able to handle this or not. I don't want you and your Mom and Dad out on crappy roads to get here through the winter,, and I won't be able to leave, so I guess we will just have to do the best we can.

You make sure Mommy keeps the phone charged so you can call and talk to me....and make sure she videos you,, and make sure she posts pictures...and tell Daddy to work lots of hours so he has lots of money to bring you back here next spring...

I'll see you in a couple weeks... I love you bunches and when you grow up and have kids,,,please make sure you move 6.5 hours away from your Mom so she understands what I just posted.. he he he...

Hi baby girl!

It so made my day when your Mommy told me that someone besides Grandma called, and when she handed you the phone you had no interest. I love it that you know when it's Grandma and you want the phone to talk to and play with.

Grandpa and I had a great time with you and your parents. I can't wait for you to get moved so we can come see your new place. Sorry things didn't work out so we could help you move.

Grandma wrapped all the Christmas presents she has for your Mommy and Daddy today. Most of your presents are already there and your Mommy wrapped them..

I have a couple more things to pick up for you.

Mommy said you did really good in your costume for Halloween. Sorry Grandma didn't cut that ouchy part out before we put it on you. It's a little tough to design this stuff when you are 7 hours away...but Mommy said you looked really cute in it.. I wouldn't know cause your Mommy hasn't posted the pictures yet. and by the way,,ask her where the picture of you and Grandpa sleeping on the couch is..and grandma feeding you...I'M WAITING....

Grandma found the cover to your carseat at a garage sale. I got it washed today and dried so we will see if we can get grandpa to mail it when he goes into town this week. I'll stick the sling I made for your mommy in there too.

Granny Bargains!

Your mommy thinks she is such a hot shot clearance whore...Granny has her beat... I got a temporary car seat for $2.00 (not smart enough to put it in the car)

and this for a quarter,,

,plus two outfits for a quarter each...

Then your Mommy wanted something for Xmas that was going to cost me 90 dollars and I got it for 25...so beat that...

The Tea Pot!

Remember how I wanted a tea pot so you could have the memories of the special stuff at grandma's? Remember how I wanted one of the ones that had been in our famiy for years only to find out they had been given to your aunts? How I found the hippo cookie jar that now sits on the table for you to see every time you come to visit? Well, now I have found the tea pot.. and it is awesome. We have two little tea cups that we can have our tea out of..

I also found this old rocking horse.

So let the memories begin.. Grandpa and I will be there in a few weeks to see you. Don't grow too much between now and then and have fun at Auntie T's tonight... I love you.. Grandma.
