I feel I owe you an explanation as to why I do what I do. So here goes.
I'm sorry I couldn't be there to bond with you more when you were born. It was sort of a difficult situation. Grandpa Cletus was so sick and I was so worried. He couldn't even get up to walk the dog. I was so worried about your Mom but I couldn't see her, because well she was busy having you.. I couldn't live at the hospital with you and your parents just for a chance to hold you. . I am very sorry for that. I also do not do well around people I do not know. I don't know whether to kick their ass and grab you from them or let them have their way. So, I backed off.

I do not want you to think you are not the most precious thing in the world to me, next to your MOM. I'm sorry honey, you will always have to take second to your Mom. Never, will you come to my home and be hugged and kissed, before your Mom is. It's not that I don't love you as much, it's just that she had my heart first.
